About American Flag Endurance American Flags is a small family
owned business and is devoted solely to
making American and POW flags. Our shop is on the second floor of a downtown building, just
above the local restaurant and newspaper.
Sidney is a small town of 3,000 that has truly dedicated people. Our plant manager, Diane, says
a flag came home when one comes back for repairs.
Everyone has, for many years, taken the job of making American flags quite seriously. Endurance
started out when the owner donated a flag
to the local war memorial. It was flown on a 140 foot tall flagpole and didn't last very long.
Bob decided he could make a better flag.
So, he hired a local seamstress and together with some fabric experts came up with a unique
material to use for a flag. It was tested on
Nebraska's tallest flagpole and it came up a winner. The material is a mesh very similar to
a football jersey.
